David Carter was an agent for the MD-Foundation during Season 1 and Season 2. Along with Agent Mark Robs, they are the team tasked with retrieving Circus Baby from her past location to the Foundation.

Springtrap's Escape[]
Agent Carter's report.
Agent Carter was on duty the day that Springtrap fled Foundation's facilities. He told Agent Robs that some of his fellow agents were killed by Springtrap as he made his way out of the Foundation. However, according to a report on him mentioned in Episode 26 from Season 2, Agent Carter ran away from his post during Springtrap's security breach, presumably leaving his friends to die; contrary to what he told Agent Robs about being on leave.
Circus Baby's Retrieval and Death[]
As a two-agent team, Agent Carter and Agent Robs were tasked with retrieving Circus Baby from the antique store she was at. After a short talk with Baby, she kills Agent Carter by choking him with her hand claw. According to this event's PP presentation, Agent Carter will be rewarded for his bravery.
Personality[]
David Carter is shown to be a brave and stern man, ultimately willing to do whatever it takes to keep himself and others safe, looking quite untrustful of animatronics. He also has a sense of humor, joking with Agent Robs, although it is not clear how much acquaintance he had with him. However, all of this falls apart with a Foundation report on him where it is revealed that he ran away from his post when Springtrap broke free. It can be inferred that he wasn't as strong as he seemed to be, showing fear when facing danger. Though he lied about this to Agent Robs, he wasn't shown to be fearful upon encountering Circus Baby, but ready to attack her. This could probably be due to the guilt of having left his friends behind in a dangerous situation in the past, thus now resolute in changing and overcoming his fears.
