Dennis Crane is an agent of rank 03 affiliated to the MD-Foundation and one of the main characters of the series. His main tasks are to interview and research into entities held by the Foundation. Crane's employment is to be terminated once William and Michael Afton are succesfully entrapped, as per decision of the MD-Foundation's founders, as a punishment for allowing Michael Afton to escape the Foundation's facilities.
Agent Crane is the regular interviewer for Springtrap, Michael Afton, Golden Freddy, Ennard and Circus Baby.
History[]
During his inquiry, Agent Crane mentions that he lost a son to similar damage inflicted to Michael Afton. The identity of this child is unknown as well as the exact cause of death.

As seen during the several interviews that Crane has held, he is portrayed as a caring and humane person, who despite having interacted with evil and dangerous entities in the past, doesn't have prejudices about new entities and always attempts to see the good in them. He has been shown to be greatly empathetic towards Michael Afton's situation, offering him his full support to the point of letting him escape from the Foundation.
Agent Crane also seems to have a strong sense of right and wrong and is willing to stand up for what he believes is right. This is best seen during his inquiry with the MD-Foundation's founders, in which he doesn't hesitate to point out what he believes it's wrong with the Foundation's actions regarding Michael.
He is also shown as a bold man, interviewing animatronics and entities with a rather unfazed and polite attitude.

Theories[]
- Some fans have theorized that Dennis Crane might be the father of one of children that William Afton murdered, since he says that his son suffered in a similar way as Michael did, though the former didn't survive.

- Agent Dennis Crane is the character with the greatest number of appearances in the whole series.
- He is one of the only two characters that have appearances in both seasons; the other one being Mark Robs.
